Tea Party

We celebrated Maddie's 9th birthday with a sweet tea party this year. She helped me decorate and we made it very fancy with folded napkins and real tea cups! We offered raspberry iced tea and strawberry lemonade and the girls definitely favored the lemonade so maybe it was actually a lemonade party!
 We had real flowers,
 yummy cupcakes,
 and a chocolate fondue fountain!
The girls loved the fountain and I'm still finding bits of chocolate in my house from the mess this created! The girls favorite item to dip was the angel food cake.
 "Happy Birthday to Maddie!"
We had 10 girls and 10 dolls attend our party. We had a separate table set up with a doll size tea set and we let the dolls celebrate while we ate. Then the girls made purses for their dolls and then they played. Maddie got a pair of roller skates for her doll as well as a wheelchair and cast set. The girls took turns putting the skates on their dolls and then taking them to the "hospital" to fix broken bones. I loved seeing the imaginations in these girls come out.
Maddie got this American Girl doll from her Mimi this year. Her name is Eve :-) She also got her ears pierced. She is growing up too fast. We had lots of fun celebrating her this year!
