Meet Marla Grace! 

We are very excited for our new little girl. There were a few complications that showed up on her ultrasound so we are asking for prayers that they will resolve on their own. We are scheduled for a follow up ultrasound in 8 weeks and then it will be determined if we need to go to a specialist or if they will be able to deliver her here in Panama City. We are very thankful that God is in control and that we can trust Him with everything. Thanks for your prayers!

20 weeks!?!

Well, I'm 20 weeks along in my pregnancy. This pregnancy like my life seems to be flying by! Everything has been uneventful for a while so we are grateful for that. I'm trying to take it easy because of a few problems I'm having with the herniated disks in my back and some braxton hicks contractions that flare up at times. Thankfully a little rest seems to calm down both problems.

Stats:

Heart rate- 120 to160

Cravings- I can eat anything right now. Sugar is not my favorite.

Weight gain- Who counts that? We don't own a scale so I'm not sure. Pretty much everyday Maddie says "wow your belly keeps getting bigger" So I would say it's enough!

I have also been having quite a few vivid pregnancy dreams. This week I dreamed that Troy was still in the Navy and our family lived on a cruise ship...not a bad life!

So our gender ultrasound is on Wednesday...any guesses?

Troy and Sam think it's a boy. 

I'm leaning towards a girl, mostly because my leg hair isn't growing and I remember that with Megan. 

Maddie goes back and forth.

And Megan thinks she IS the baby!

Piano

Maddie started Piano this month, and she loves it! She practices every chance she can get and has her three little songs memorized already....and so does the rest of the family! I'm glad she has taken an interest in music. When she met her teacher she asked her "Why do you want to learn the piano?" Maddie said " Oh, I don't! I want to learn the flute, but mommy said I have to learn the piano first!" 

Megan turns 2!

Sweet little Megan turned 2 last week! She had lots of Birthday Fun!

 Opening boxes from home is always a highlight! She loved all the things Mimi and Papa sent. She also learned the word "Mine" this week!

 Over the weekend we had a small party for her. Maddie worked very hard to make special birthday cupcakes filled with cream.

 Megan worked hard to clean up the mess!

 She got some new toys and new clothes at her party. She really enjoyed being the center of attention.

 She was very good to share her new toys with brother and sister.

 She knew exactly what to do with this cupcake! She got the candles blown out in just 2 tries and really enjoyed eating it up too! 

We are very thankful for our funny little Megan!

Camp-in

In Florida this summer we have been getting rain, rain and more rain! The end of June and all of July have been pretty devastating to a lot of the State because of flooding. In Panama City I think I could count on one hand the days we haven't had rain in the month of July! We have had lots of terrible thunder storms also with the lightening causing 2 fires close to our house. I took the kids for a short walk in our neighborhood yesterday and most of the yards have water standing in them. Because of this a lot of our regular outdoor-type summer activities have been put on hold. The kids are getting a little antsy with having to stay inside so this weekend Troy took them on an indoor camp-in and Nerf gun safari! They had a blast!

 They helped daddy make the "tent" out of blankets and folding chairs.

 When it got dark Troy set up all kinds of stuffed animals and the kids took their Nerf guns and flash lights and went and hunted them down.

 They had little lanterns for light and then watched an episode of wipe-out before going to bed. 

They really thought it was a lot of fun and I got up the next morning and made a camp-in breakfast of pancakes and bacon. We are planning a camping trip to Disney the middle of October so this was great practice for the kids!
