Date Night

Troy and I had a very nice date night last night! Our friends Don and Mary surprised us Sunday with tickets to the Point of Grace/ Mark Schultz concert and baby sitting for the kids on Friday night. Thank you Don and Mary!!! Troy made it extra special by taking me to the new Shrimp Boat restaurant on St. Andrews Bay. The restaurant is also a fish market and sushi bar. Troy got grouper and (the seafood loving girl that I am) I ordered the fillet. Our meals were very good and we got to watch the sunset in the bay so it was very relaxing.
The concert was tons of fun! Point of Grace and Mark Schultz are both great entertainers. It was very inspirational as well. Mark Schultz has written all of his songs and it was very interesting to hear the stories behind all the songs. We tried to take a few pictures during the concert, but they didn't turn out. I also forgot to take any pictures of Troy and I .....just imagine us with big smiles on our faces!

The Mind of a child

This was a conversation that occurred while Sam and I were heading to the store. After being home around Caleb and Leia my kids have been a little baby crazy.

Sam: Mommy I want a baby to come live at our house.
Mommy: You need to talk to God, He gives babies to people.

About 30 seconds later.....

Sam: Thank you God for our new baby!
Mommy: What are you talking about?
Sam: God works at the store and is going to give us a baby for our house!

Sam Turns Three

Sam has been planning a spider man birthday party for 6 months now and boy was he excited when his birthday finally came! We got an extra special treat because his Mimi and Papa were visiting from Indiana and were here for the party.
Sam's cake request- "Spider man cupcakes with sprinkles." Thanks Mimi for making them just perfect!

Sam got a big boy bike for his birthday and has already wrecked it quite a few times! Yesterday on the road while trying to race Maddie around a corner. We were amazed that he went straight to a 2 wheeler from his trike without missing a beat. Makes mommy a little nervous because he has further to fall, but that is part of growing up I guess.

It took at least 3 tries to get the candles out, but he got it done!

A little silly face and....

Our sweet big boy!
Three years have flown by and we are so grateful for the strong and healthy boy that we have.

We're Back....

We have had a very busy 3weeks! We went to Kentucky over Labor Day weekend to celebrate my Grandmother's 80th birthday and my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Troy returned home, but the kids and I went up to Indiana and spent the week with family. The next Monday Mom, Dad, the kids and I returned to Florida and my parents were able to spend the week with us here. It has been fun to see everyone and the kids had so much fun with their cousins.
(These pictures are in opposite order of how they occurred) Maddie and Sam enjoying time with Mimi at our house. It's always fun when mom and dad come to visit. The kids got to spend this Thursday with Mom and Dad while Troy and I were at work. They had a great time and were sad to say good bye on Saturday.
Sam helping Papa build a fire for the cook out at the farm.

Levi (my nephew) caught this huge bass at Papa's farm.

Sam trying to catch the big one.
We got to spend a day at the Children's Museum in Indy with the kids Amis cousins. It was a lot of fun the kids always like all the hand on exhibits. This is Sam digging for dinosaur bones.

Maddie really enjoyed this exhibit as well.

All the kids in front of the dinosaur exhibit.

We also spent a day with our Teipen cousins at the Indianapolis Zoo to celebrate Josie's 5th Birthday. The kids had a lot of fun seeing all the animals. Maddie really liked the giraffes.

Sam checking out the bears. We got to see them being fed so that was pretty cool.

The kids got to pet some sharks this year which was cool. Maddie wouldn't touch them, but Sam, Josie and Joel did!

Check out these little monkeys! We always have so much fun with family. We miss you all already.
