Easter

Some Easter Day pictures :-)
We were very blessed to have Grammy Mary send the kids their Easter outfits.
Somehow I didn't get any individual pictures of Sam and Maddie :-/
We had a very happy Easter and were able to host in another military family for lunch. Troy helped me cook. We all ate too much and were able to relax. The perfect Holiday!

The Hunt

On the Saturday before Easter the kids got to enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt! It had rained quite a bit the previous day so it was a muddy egg hunt. They didn't care. They put on rain boots and sloshed through the puddles to get the eggs.
Marla was happy with two eggs...one for each hand.
They all had a great time and filled their baskets to the top with treats!

Sam got the most eggs, I think he was actually looking for puddles to jump in!

Maddie was careful to avoid puddles, but still had a great time :-)

Easter Eggs

We had alot of fun the weekend of Easter :-) One of the highlights of course is dyeing eggs. Maddie and Sam could almost do it by themselves now. I guess they really are growing up.
They mixed all of the colors and had fun writing on the eggs with a white crayon to leave patterns on them.
They all got to put a little shrink wrap on one egg and that amazed them :-) These eggs made us some yummy deviled eggs on Sunday too!
Marla was happy to watch the action this year. They all showed her how it was done so next year she will be ready to participate!

Walking

A few weeks ago when I picked Marla up from the church nursery the workers asked me when she had started walking. I told them that she wasn't walking and they put her down to prove to me otherwise! This little stinker took off and was walking everywhere. When we got home from church I pulled out the camera to capture these photos.
She had a huge cheering section and would walk and then fall and just laugh. All the kids and Troy and I would cheer and she would get up and do it all over again.
She is still very cautious but is improving everyday and has even worn shoes a few times so she can walk outside.
This little girl bring so much joy to our lives!

The Titans

Sam decided to try a different sport this spring and so we are full swing into flag football season. He has really enjoyed the practices and getting to know the boys. He is playing for the Navy team and they are the Titans. His first game was a fun victory and he got a few good tackles and ran the ball once for a touchdown. We love the coach and are looking forward to a fun season!
