24 Weeks

We are now 24 weeks along and over half way there!! Yeah! Baby Megan seems to be growing everyday and is very active. The kids love to talk to my belly and Megan even talks back to Sam. He told me she wants a 'light saber' birthday for her first birthday and he is still holding out that "she" might turn out to be a "he". Sam actually took this picture of me since Daddy is so busy with finals for the next few weeks. He is going to be a big help when the baby come I'm sure. I'm full swing into nesting I think. I painted the master bathroom two weeks ago and we have purchased paint for our bedroom. I'm waiting on Troy to move the furniture in there so I can get it painted. Maddie and I rearranged the furniture in our living room today. We are in the market for white bunk beds for the girls room...Megan is going to be in with Maddie so we need some more room in there. I'm not sure if all these improvements are spurred on by Megan's arrival or the arrival of my two sisters this summer, but either way I'm in the mood to get it done!

1st Tooth

Last Saturday Maddie lost her 1st tooth...well naturally anyway! Sam knocked her first tooth out with his head last July, but this time it got loose and Daddy had to pull it. She didn't cry when he pulled it and declared Troy "The best tooth puller ever!" She loves to stick her tongue though the hole that was left!
She is growing up too fast! I can't believe she will finish Preschool in 3 weeks and be ready for Kindergarten.

Fun Friday

We have been having beautiful weather here this week! We decided to do our school on Thursday so we could have a fun Friday. We started out at the bike park so the kids could ride. They can really go fast now...Mommy had a lot of trouble keeping up and they had to turn around and come back for me quite a few times. Then we enjoyed the playground equipment. Sam is really getting brave and a little dangerous. Boys will be boys I guess. He likes to climb something high and then jump of...my sister broke her leg doing this so Mommy gets nervous :-(

Maddie is all girl....picking "flowers" around the play ground and posing nicely for pictures. It's so nice to go to the park in the sunshine in April and not be sweating!!
Then we took a picnic lunch to Daddy and enjoyed being by the water. If we all would have come home and taken naps it would have been the perfect day, but there is too much energy in this house for that! Quite time on the couch with a movie sufficed so Mommy could get a little rest!

Easter 2010

A few pictures of the kids in their Easter finery. Sam said we wasn't going to wear his suit with a "happy heart" and would only pose for one picture, but as you can see we squeezed a few more out of him. Maddie was happy to pose and have her picture taken as always. Can't believe how big they are getting. A quote form Troy the other day "When we decided to have kids I didn't realize they would grow up." Watching them grow definitely breaks your heart a little....but makes you happy at the same time.

Are you Ready for this?

It's a baby GIRL!!

We are so grateful that our little Megan Joy's ultrasound went well today! She weighs one pound and everything checked out fine. Obviously she is already a smart child judging from her thinking pose in this photo. Mommy and Daddy agree that she looks like Sam's ultrasound pictures. In 19 weeks we will know for sure. The kids are very excited. A few quotes from the ultrasound room....

Maddie: "When Megan the girl comes home with us I will share one of my blankies with her!" (while she said this she was jumping up and down!)

Sam: "I have such a big job now to take care of two sisters....good thing I have big muscles!"
(While he said this he was playing on the ground with a John Deer tractor. Ultrasounds get long for three year old boys!)

We are truly blessed and very thankful that this pregnancy has gone as smooth as it has.
