Rosemary Beach

Last Wednesday Troy's Architectural Design class took a field trip to Rosemary Beach. We decided to tag along since Daddy thought it would just be a short trip and Rosemary beach is beautiful. It turned out his trip lasted about 2.5 hours so the kids and I had lots of time to kill!

We walked the whole town and found some interesting things. This is their little tiny post office! All the streets are cobble stones and the buildings are just beautiful.

We hung out in a really cool toy store. The kids loved looking around  and the staff was very friendly. There was a train set that went around the top of the store and lots of toys out for the kids to play with.

We also went to an old time candy store and ice cream shop. The kids chose huge suckers of course and worked on eating them the whole time we were there.

We also walked the boardwalk to the beach and just enjoyed playing in the sand.

By the time Daddy picked us up we were tired, but full of sugar and very happy! We ate supper at an amazing restraunt called Shades. It was nice to just spend some time together as this crazy semester winds down.

Peek-A-Boo

Megan has recently combined her old love of peek-a-boo and her new love of hats into a fun new game.Love those big blue eyes and sweet-sweet smile!

Orange Belt

Sam had Karate belt testing this past Saturday and was promoted to Jr. Orange belt. He takes Kempo Karate (they focus on self-defense) and they have a 10 belt testing system. His instructor told us that he is doing very well for his age and size.

To get his yellow belt he only had to do techniques by himself, but to get his orange belt he had to perform his techniques on someone else.

New Hutch

It's so much fun to see things finally start to come together in our house! We started the remodel last March so It has been a long time, but I'm very thankful that it really is almost done. A few weeks ago (or maybe months....time sure does fly!) Troy and I found this hutch on Craigslist. It was only $100 and it is a Broy Hill made from solid wood! My Mom and Dad have been buying Troy and I Christmas dishes for our anniversary since we got married and I have never had a place to display them or keep them handy for use. They fit into this hutch nicely and I love being able to see them!
I love how it makes our house feel more like a home.

Easter

We celebrated Easter all weekend long! We had out of town guests staying with us and had a great time with them. This is our best attempt at a family photo. Megan had double ear infections (we found out Monday) so she wasn't feeling the photo shoot.We had fun dying eggs, stuffing eggs, hiding eggs, hunting eggs and eating eggs!We enjoyed time at the beach and lots of playtime with friends. We also made "Resurrection eggs" and did the Easter story with my Kindergarten Worship kids. At home we made Resurrection cookies, which the kids loved doing! Megan did attempt to find some eggs, but spent most of her day in Mommy's lap. Glad she is feeling better now! It was a great Easter and I am forever grateful that "He has Risen!"

In Bloom

Our garden has come alive over the past few weeks so I decided to try and get some good shots with the new camera.

I'm so glad we will have lots of flowers blooming for Easter weekend.

A Good Investment

Sam got this red Little Tikes swing when he was a baby. It's still one of Maddie and Sam's favorite places to play.
They love twist each other up and spin in it.
(This would make me so sick!)

They also stand up and push each other, or both take a ride out over the deck. Baby Girl loves it too.

Five years of fun, I'd say that's a good investment!
