Lighthouse
On Tuesday we went with Daddy to Pensacola for a meeting. After he was done, we took the kids to the Naval Aviation Museum again and to visit a lighthouse. It was pretty cool to see the lighthouse since we had never been there before. 
We wanted to climb the tower (it's 190 feet), but they wouldn't let me since I was in the 3rd trimester, and the kids couldn't climb since they were wearing flip-flops. Next time we go we will be ready with tennis shoes on!
It's of course it's not in use anymore. Reading the history of the lighthouse was really cool. The kids liked it alot since there were lots of small hallways and
tunnels to go through.

37 Weeks

My Little Helpers
This week the kids have been helping me in my 'nesting'. On Monday we cleaned all the patio furniture and discovered that a little bubbles in the pool can provide about 3 hours of entertainment...even when the heat index is well over 100 degrees.
Maddie's comment was "This furniture gets too dirty out here, we need to move it inside." A pretty good observation but that would defeat the point of lawn furniture I guess.
The kids started rinsing their rags out in their kiddie pool and saying "Momma makes us wash our stockings every night." (a quote off of a santa clause movie they had seen) Then they added quite a few bubbles to the pool and I lost my good help!
Since then we have washed the windows inside and out....I was forbidden to get on the ladder so the 2nd store windows still need cleaning on the outside (it's driving me a little crazy!). Yesterday we gave the whole house a cleaning and caught up on the laundry. We also cleaned out three closets, and did all of Megan's laundry out of the attic. Now we are all ready for Little Girl to come home!

Rodeo
On Saturday night we took the kids to a local rodeo. Their favorite thing to watch on TV is bull riding (yes I'm serious!) so they loved it! It was an outdoor rodeo and we got caught in a rain storm....which made it interesting! We sat out the rain and then watched the end of the rodeo. 
Sam participated in the calf scramble. All the kids could get in the fence and chase three little calves with ribbons tied to their tails. Whoever got the ribbon got a cash prize. Sam was the youngest one out there and I'm not real sure about how smart it is to let a bunch of kids corner three calves, but no one was hurt and Sam had a blast.
Maddie loved the barrel racing and some girls did a little horse show thing during intermission and she liked that alot too. Now both of the kids want horses...not sure where we would put them!
Sam during the rain storm. The kids thought it was lots of fun to be dodging lightening. That is my gut in the background and the huge bag of kettle corn was mine! Somehow fresh made kettle corn made the experience of sitting on bleachers in wet jean overalls for 3 hours while I'm 8 months pregnant so much better!
It was definitely worth it to see Sam so excited about every event. Maddie has been Sam's bull for the rest of the weekend and he's getting pretty good at holding on!

Falling Waters State Park
Daddy had Monday off so we decided to take the kids up North a little ways to Falling Waters State Park. It is a park that has sink holes and a water fall in FL, which I guess is pretty rare. Anyway...a waterfall might be pushing it as you can see from the picture, but there is water falling over the rocks so whatever. It actually drops about 100 feet so the kids thought that was cool. They also liked the sink holes and we had to keep reminding Sam to stay on the trail...I didn't want to be digging him out of a sink hole!
It wasn't terribly hot for July so hiking the trails was fun. Most of them were boardwalks, but some were "off the beaten path" which Sam enjoyed since he had worn his hiking boots! We finished all of them in about an hour.
Then we enjoyed a picnic lunch and some playground equipment. It actually started raining during our lunch so we finished in the car- which the kids thought was hilarious.

Sam loves being outdoors and really liked the hiking. It was a nice family day together.

July 4th
We had a great 4th of July weekend! We celebrated on Saturday with a cookout with friends and the Lynn Haven fireworks. The kids were VERY excited about the fireworks this year and almost drove us crazy that day waiting for dark. Here they are all ready for the cookout.

Sam still likes to wear his ring or water wings....he is getting alot more brave this year and even lets Daddy throw him up in the air.

Cousin Visits!
In June we had some visitors which is always exciting! I also must confess that I lost my camera during this time so I had to steal these pictures from our visiting relatives...thanks guys! (I got my camera back last Wednesday...it was turned into our church office....my organized self has been totally lost during this pregnancy) 
Troy's cousins John and Jenny Durrett and their sweet girls Ava and Addie came to visit Panama City the week of VBS and we met them for dinner one night. It was great catching up with them. Maddie and Ava got along great and had lots of fun! 
The next week we had a visit from my Grandmother, Aunt Brenda, Cousin Natalie and her 2 little sweeties Grace and Brody. We had a great time with them enjoying the beach and each other's company.
We took them to eat at Uncle Ernie's one night and saw four dolphins jumping in the bay! the kids are now used to company and want to know "Who is coming next??" It's fun when your summer is one big vacation!

VBS
The week of June 14-18 we had VBS at our church on "Saddle Ridge Ranch". It was lots of fun! We had 615 kids from ages 3years -5th grade. I taught one of the 4 year old classes, the one Madaline was in. This was Sam's first year to participate and he had a blast!
All ready for the closing program on Thursday night.
(Not sure why the kids are standing like this but I remember saying "quit touching each other!" so this is the pose you get after that command!)
Sam and Maddie on the big stage. This was Sam's first time on the big stage and that is a BIG deal to a three year old!
Sam with his teacher Miss Debbie...he was in love with her! She is great with the kids and really made it a special week for them.

My class during game time. The kids had so much fun with crafts, music, games ect... the real blessing was that 38 children accepted Christ as Savior. What a great God we serve.
