Daddy is on a three week break from school so we are planning lots of fun activities to spend time with him! On Friday night we had a living room camp-in. The kids had lots of fun roasting marshmallows, telling stories and watching a family movie in our sleeping bags. Mommy and Daddy were a little shocked to be awakened around 2 am by Maddie falling off the couch onto our heads. We were then awakened at 5 am by 2 little munchkins saying "It's morning time!". Although it was a lot of fun, we were glad to all be in our own beds the next night!
(This didn't work by the way. Sam caught his marshmallow on fire and then we decided to warm up our marshmallows in the microwave)
Sam loving his s'more!
Sam loving his s'more!Maddie actually told a bedtime story (about a fox at the mailbox) which was hilarious and we wish we would have gotten on tape. Then we went around and sang songs around the campfire. Sam choose to do an interpretive dance for his song. When asked what he was singing Maddie said "It just looks like he is dancing like a little princess to me!" Troy and I about lost it, but we did tell her that it was unkind to call her brother a princess and that not everyone has the same talents so we shouldn't make fun of others.
Anyway those were the highlights from our night! We will continue to post our fun adventures from Daddy's school vacation!
