Even though we are done with school, we have still been sneaking a little learning in with some science projects and tons of reading! We have made slime and bouncy balls and last night we stirred up our own bubble solution. Then we used whatever we could find around the house to make bubble wands.
A jar lid worked well to make big bubbles!
Sam and Maddie made some wands out of floral wire. They worked really well. We also used cookie cutters with some success. Some things didn't work out like a pipe cleaner. It seemed to hold too much of the solution and when it was blown on just sprayed everyone in it's path with solution! The kids also discovered that no matter what the wand looked like all the bubbles were round.
Of course it wasn't all learning, it was also a lot of fun!
Marla and Megan loved to pop the bubbles or just watch them float away.
Sam and Maddie liked to try and catch them or see who could blow the biggest bubbles.
We are loving all these fun summer nights!
